Terms of service

Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 August 2026

1. About These Terms

Welcome to Toast & Figs.

Toast & Figs is a trading name of Nadya Ramdany, a sole trader.

These Terms of Service apply when you:

  • use the Toast & Figs website;

  • purchase products from us;

  • place an order for postal or local delivery;

  • book Drop & Go catering;

  • book event or staffed catering; or

  • otherwise purchase goods or services directly from Toast & Figs.

Please read these Terms carefully before placing an order or confirming a booking.

By placing an order or confirming a booking with Toast & Figs, you agree to these Terms together with any quotation, booking confirmation and policies specifically applicable to your order.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

2. Orders & Contract Formation

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products or services selected.

An order is accepted once we have confirmed acceptance of the order.

For catering and event bookings, your booking is confirmed when we have:

  • issued a booking confirmation or accepted quotation; and

  • received any payment, deposit or other amount required to secure the booking.

Until then, dates and availability are not guaranteed.

Please check all details carefully before confirming an order or booking, including:

  • products or menu selected;

  • quantities;

  • guest numbers;

  • delivery date;

  • delivery address;

  • event date and venue;

  • dietary requirements; and

  • contact information.

If we are unable to accept an order, we will let you know and refund any payment received for goods or services that we cannot provide.

3. Our Products

Toast & Figs products are handmade and prepared in small batches.

Because of this, there may be reasonable variations in:

  • appearance;

  • colour;

  • size;

  • decoration;

  • finish; and

  • presentation.

Product photography is intended to provide an accurate representation of our products but handmade food will not always look identical to the images shown online.

We may occasionally need to make reasonable substitutions because of seasonal availability or supply issues.

Where a proposed substitution would materially change an order or agreed menu, we will contact you where reasonably possible before making the change.

We reserve the right to withdraw products or menus from sale.

4. Availability

All products, delivery slots, catering dates and event dates are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your basket, requesting a quotation or discussing a potential event does not reserve stock, kitchen capacity or an event date.

For catering and events, availability is only secured once your booking has been confirmed.

5. Prices & Payment

Prices displayed to consumers will include applicable taxes unless clearly stated otherwise.

Delivery charges and other unavoidable charges will either be shown before checkout or clearly communicated before your booking is confirmed.

For corporate, wholesale and other business quotations, the quotation will state whether prices include or exclude VAT where applicable.

Catering and event prices may vary according to factors including:

  • guest numbers;

  • menu;

  • staffing;

  • delivery location;

  • venue requirements;

  • equipment;

  • hire requirements;

  • service time; and

  • event duration.

The payment schedule for a catering or event booking will be shown within your quotation or booking confirmation.

A booking may not be considered confirmed until the required payment has been received.

6. Food Allergies & Dietary Requirements

Food safety and allergen information are extremely important to us.

Allergen information for food ordered at a distance will be made available before purchase and again when the food is supplied or delivered, where required.

If you or anyone consuming our food has a food allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or other dietary requirement, please tell us before placing your order or confirming your catering booking.

For catering and event bookings, the client is responsible for providing accurate dietary information for guests by the deadline agreed with Toast & Figs.

Where an order is being placed on behalf of other people, including office catering or events, the person making the booking should ensure that relevant allergen information provided by Toast & Figs is made available to the people consuming the food.

Unless expressly confirmed by us, you should not assume that a product is suitable for a particular allergy or dietary requirement simply because an allergenic ingredient does not appear in the product name or description.

While we follow food-safety and allergen-management procedures, some products may be prepared in environments where other allergens are handled. Where cross-contact may be relevant, this will be communicated as appropriate.

Please contact hello@toastandfigs.co.uk before ordering if you require further allergen information.

7. Postal Orders

Selected Toast & Figs products are available for postal delivery.

Postal orders may be cancelled or amended up to 48 hours before their scheduled dispatch date, subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

After this deadline, cancellation or amendment may not be possible because production has been scheduled.

A dispatch date is not necessarily the same as the date on which your parcel will arrive.

Postal delivery estimates, available services and charges will be shown during checkout or communicated with your order.

Please see our Shipping & Delivery Policy for full details.

8. Local Delivery Orders

Selected products are available for local delivery to eligible areas.

Local delivery orders may be cancelled or amended up to 5 days before the scheduled delivery date, subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

Delivery dates, charges and available delivery windows will be confirmed when ordering.

Customers must provide a complete and accurate address together with any relevant access information.

Please see our Shipping & Delivery Policy for further information.

9. Drop & Go Catering

Drop & Go catering includes food prepared for an agreed date, guest number and delivery location without full staffed event service unless otherwise stated.

Your booking confirmation or quotation will set out what is included.

Unless agreed otherwise, the client is responsible for:

  • providing suitable serving space;

  • receiving the delivery;

  • following any storage or reheating instructions supplied;

  • ensuring food is served within appropriate food-safety timeframes; and

  • making allergen information available to guests.

Delivery, cancellation and guest-number deadlines are set out within these Terms, your booking confirmation and our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

10. Events & Staffed Catering

For weddings, corporate events, private events, receptions, grazing tables, buffets and other staffed or larger catering bookings, the exact services being provided will be detailed in your quotation or booking confirmation.

Your booking may include, where agreed:

  • food;

  • delivery;

  • event setup;

  • service staff;

  • chefs;

  • bar service;

  • serving equipment;

  • crockery;

  • glassware;

  • linen;

  • styling;

  • hire equipment; and

  • post-event collection.

Items or services not specifically included within the quotation are not included in the booking price.

If there is a conflict between these general Terms and specific terms clearly agreed in writing within your quotation or booking confirmation, the specifically agreed booking terms will apply, except where doing so would remove rights that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Guest Numbers

For Drop & Go catering, final guest numbers should normally be confirmed at least 7 days before delivery, unless a different deadline has been agreed.

For larger events, the final guest-number deadline will be stated in the quotation or booking confirmation.

Reductions made after the final confirmation deadline will not normally reduce the booking price where production or operational capacity has already been committed.

Increases are subject to availability and will incur the appropriate additional charge.

12. Changes to Catering & Event Bookings

Changes to:

  • menu;

  • guest numbers;

  • event date;

  • venue;

  • delivery location;

  • timings;

  • staffing;

  • equipment;

  • service style; or

  • other booking requirements

must be requested as early as possible.

We will always try to accommodate reasonable changes but cannot guarantee that every request will be possible.

Changes may result in an adjustment to the booking price.

We will not materially change an agreed booking without a reasonable operational reason and, where appropriate, consultation with the client.

13. Cancellations & Rescheduling

Cancellation of products, Drop & Go catering and event bookings is governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Because fresh food and fixed-date catering services require advance capacity and operational planning, different cancellation periods apply depending on the type of booking.

Where a cancellation charge applies to a consumer booking, it will not exceed the reasonable loss caused to Toast & Figs by the cancellation, taking into account costs we are able reasonably to avoid or recover.

Where possible, we may offer the option of moving a catering or event booking to another available date instead of cancelling it.

Any transfer of a booking is subject to availability and any reasonable additional costs associated with the new date.

14. Delivery, Venue Access & Set-Up

The client is responsible for supplying accurate delivery and venue information.

For catering and events, please tell us in advance about:

  • loading restrictions;

  • parking restrictions;

  • congestion or access charges;

  • security procedures;

  • loading bays;

  • stairs;

  • restricted lift access;

  • venue inductions;

  • restricted setup periods; and

  • any other condition likely to affect delivery or service.

Where additional charges arise because venue requirements or restrictions were not disclosed before the quotation was agreed, we may charge the reasonable additional cost incurred.

Where we are prevented from delivering or setting up at the agreed time because access is unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to complete the service, but this may affect the agreed timetable.

Please see our Shipping & Delivery Policy for further details.

15. Food After Delivery or Handover

Where food is supplied as Drop & Go catering or otherwise handed over without continuing Toast & Figs supervision, customers must follow any storage, reheating, serving and food-safety instructions supplied.

Food should not be kept, reheated or served contrary to those instructions.

Where buffet or event food remains after the agreed service period, we may advise that particular items should not be retained.

Where food is retained contrary to food-safety advice we have provided, Toast & Figs cannot accept responsibility for deterioration resulting from that subsequent handling or storage.

Nothing in this section limits responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded.

16. Equipment, Crockery, Linen & Hire Items

Where Toast & Figs supplies equipment or hired items, including crockery, glassware, linen, serving equipment or chafing dishes, those items remain the property of Toast & Figs or the relevant hire company.

The client is responsible for taking reasonable care of hire items while they are at the venue.

Reasonable replacement or repair costs may be charged for items that are lost, deliberately damaged or damaged through misuse.

Normal wear arising from proper use will not be charged.

Collection arrangements will be agreed as part of the booking where applicable.

17. Third-Party Booking Platforms

Toast & Figs may accept bookings through third-party platforms such as Togather.

Where you book through a third-party platform, that platform's:

  • payment terms;

  • booking process;

  • cancellation rules; and

  • other applicable platform terms

may also form part of your booking.

Where platform rules govern a transaction made through that platform, those rules will apply alongside the Toast & Figs booking confirmation to the extent applicable.

18. Wholesale & Resale

Products purchased through the normal Toast & Figs retail store are not intended for commercial resale unless agreed with us.

This does not prevent customers from purchasing catering or products for their employees, clients, guests or events.

Wholesale or resale customers are subject to the separate terms agreed for their wholesale account or order.

19. Relationship With Shopify

Toast & Figs is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you.

However, any sales and purchases you make in our Store are made directly with Toast & Figs.

By using the Services, you acknowledge and agree that Shopify is not responsible for any aspect of any sales between you and Toast & Figs, including any injury, damage or loss resulting from purchased products and services.

To the extent permitted by law, Shopify and its affiliates are not responsible for claims arising from your purchases or transactions directly with Toast & Figs.

20. Website & Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the content of the Toast & Figs website, including:

  • branding;

  • photographs;

  • product descriptions;

  • written content;

  • graphics;

  • recipes published by us; and

  • other original materials

belongs to Toast & Figs or is used by us with permission.

You may use the website for your personal or legitimate business purchasing purposes.

You must not reproduce, copy, commercially exploit or distribute our content without permission except where permitted by law.

21. Third-Party Links & Services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or use services provided by third parties.

We are not responsible for the content or operation of independent third-party websites.

Where you choose to purchase directly from a third party, their own terms and policies will apply to that transaction.

22. Privacy

Personal information provided to Toast & Figs is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Our store is hosted by Shopify and certain information will be processed by Shopify and other service providers to enable us to operate our website, process payments and fulfil orders.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for further information.

23. Reviews, Photographs & Feedback

If you voluntarily submit a review, testimonial, photograph or other feedback to Toast & Figs, you confirm that you have the right to provide that material.

We may ask your permission to reproduce customer photographs or other identifiable content for marketing purposes.

We will not knowingly publish private personal information without an appropriate lawful basis.

24. Website Errors

We try to ensure that information displayed on our website is accurate.

Occasionally there may be:

  • typographical errors;

  • incorrect product information;

  • pricing errors;

  • availability errors; or

  • other genuine mistakes.

If an obvious error affects an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

We will not simply increase an agreed price without your agreement.

If we cannot fulfil an order at the price or specification agreed, you will be entitled to cancel the affected item or service and receive a refund for any amount paid for it.

25. Acceptable Use of Our Website

You must not use our website:

  • unlawfully;

  • fraudulently;

  • to transmit malicious software;

  • to interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • to infringe another person's rights; or

  • to obtain or misuse personal data unlawfully.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to protect the website, Toast & Figs or other users.

26. Our Responsibility to You

Toast & Figs will provide goods and services with the standards required by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:

  • death or personal injury caused by negligence;

  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or

  • statutory consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Where you are a consumer, goods must comply with your statutory rights and services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.

We are not responsible for losses caused solely by circumstances outside our reasonable control where we have taken reasonable steps to prevent or minimise those losses.

Where you are purchasing wholly for business purposes, additional or different liability arrangements may be agreed within your business quotation or contract.

27. Circumstances Outside Our Reasonable Control

Occasionally an order or event may be affected by circumstances that we could not reasonably prevent.

Examples can include:

  • severe weather;

  • major road closures;

  • transport disruption;

  • power or utility failure;

  • serious illness;

  • venue closure;

  • government restrictions;

  • significant supplier disruption; or

  • other exceptional circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If this happens, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible and will take reasonable steps to minimise disruption.

Depending on the circumstances, we may agree an alternative delivery arrangement, substitute service, change of date or refund for goods or services that cannot be provided.

This section does not remove any rights you have under applicable law.

28. Complaints

We genuinely want customers to be happy with the food and service they receive from Toast & Figs.

If something has gone wrong, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible so that we have an opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.

Please provide your order or booking number and any relevant information or photographs.

Complaints can be sent to:

hello@toastandfigs.co.uk

Our Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how we deal with damaged, incorrect or unsatisfactory orders.

29. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services or legal requirements.

The version that applies to your order or booking will normally be the version in force when the contract was made, together with any later changes expressly agreed between us.

Updates to website terms will not retrospectively alter an existing confirmed booking without an appropriate legal basis or your agreement.

30. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remainder of the Terms will continue to apply.

31. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also have rights under the mandatory laws applicable where you live.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to prevent a consumer from exercising any right to bring proceedings in a court available to them under applicable law.
